Welcome to Phoenician Racing Division, owned and operated by Elaine. Here, all Thoroughbred racing stock owned and bred by Phoenician are stabled. Retired studs and those destined for a future in a sport career are shipped down to the sporthorse division after retiring from the track, while mares selected for the breeding program remain on site. However, you can still view our line of successful stallions used to produce quality racehorses through selecting the "Breeding" link above. The Racing division is home to Phoenician's talented flat racers and steeplechasers, all in the prime of their racing careers. It is also home to the Riata Steeplechasing Club, the governing body of steeplechasing in Riata.

Once a sub-plot situated slightly apart from the main stables, the racing division was moved down to Kumeu in order to bring the racers closer to the central racing hubub of New Zealand. It was also to place emphasis on the fact that the racing division would no longer take a back seat to the sporthorse division. We are looking to expand and make the Phoenician racers as much of a household name as their sporthorse peers are, and we are well on the way to making that dream a reality.
