Hope is a drop-dead gorgeous mare gifted to me by my 2005 Secret Santa, Erika. With lovely flowing paces, heaps of presence and and eye-catching colouring, Hope would have done very well in the show ring, but is currently contented with having foals. She is a quiet, unflappable mare who is 100% safe with children and nervous riders, and seems to get along very well with all the other mares at Phoenician.
In her maiden year, Phoenician's top KWPN stallion, Sleipner was chosen for here to breed to, and the outcome was outstanding. The lovely golden boy, Phoenician Alastair, was the first 2006 foal born into the world, and he had no sooner emerged than showed off his strikingly good looks and charismatic attitude. With good bone, strong heart, and plenty of determination, he is one of the '06 crop's top babies to date. Her second foal, Phoenician Cerian, is a delicate little creature, but with a breathtakingly fragile beauty that steals the heart at first glance. She looks destined to follow in her sire's footsteps to excel in dressage, and she already performs mini-piaffes in the paddock.
