Though every foal born at Phoenician always has a special place in my heart, none can be more so than this lovely, gifted little filly. Ara is the result of much hard work, deliberation, and thorough planning. By Riata's first REAA approved horse, Blue Blood (REAA) and out of the first Warmblood to receive the REAA title, she has a bombproof mixture of raw talent and amazing Riata lineage.
The plan to breed Wish via embryo transfer was planned out long before she even attained her REAA title, and so began the quest to find a suitable, special stallion to sire her first foal. I was extremely picky when choosing a stallion, for Wish is my absolute favourite horse. I finally fell upon the idea of finally breeding to one of Danya's amazing stallions, hence the beginning of new life. When Wish was given the prestigious REAA title, I couldn't have been more thrilled at the prospect of having a double REAA parent foal! Who would've imagined! With the details worked out, Ara was conceived via embryo transfer, with her surrogate dam being the lovely Heartfelt Adieu, a Dutch Warmblood mare of equal size and quality of Wish. With her birth is opening of a new door to the world of breeding at Phoenician - embryo transfer.
Ara has come out as perfect as I could have asked for. She has a well-sloped shoulder, long arm-bones, and beautiful overall conformation, indicating much potential as a future jumper or dressage competitor. Though of a relatively small frame, she is proving to be well muscled and surprisingly powerful, and possesses bright, shiny eyes that constantly follow every action performed around her.
She is a sweet natured, happy little filly who is a replica of her dam. From her fiery chestnut coat to her affectionate nature, Ara has stolen the hearts of every person around her. Though she loves kicking up her heels and playing a game of tag, frisking around like the tiny little baby she is, she can also often be found wandering around poking at things inquisitively, learning and experiencing new things daily. She has a loving adorableness that makes everyone clamour for her attention, but a strange wisdom that makes her seem experienced beyond her years. She'll undoubtedly be a star in times to come, and will be staying at Phoenician in the near future.
